Answer Key:

  1. James Harden (a)

James Harden has been the 4 point king in his career. He passed up Jamal Crawford who had been the previous long time leader. Harden has 70 four point plays which is 16 more than Crawford who has 54. Steph Curry with 50, JJ Reddick with 43, and Damian Lillard with 24 rounds out the top 5. Harden was just traded to the Clippers, where he will attempt to make his lead even greater. https://www.interbasket.net/news/the-10-nba-players-with-the-most-four-points-plays/25860/

  1. Chris Ford (c)

Chris Ford was a 6’5 shooting guard that was drafted with the 17th pick in the second round of the 1972 NBA draft. On October 12th, 1979 while playing in a game with the Boston Celtics he made the first ever three pointer with 3:48 left in the first quarter. The three point line is now the most important shot in the game and Ford went on to win a Championship with the Celtics in 1981.

  1. Shake Milton (b)

Shake Milton made 13 consecutive threes in 2020 over the course of three games to tie the record with Brent Price and Terry Mills. In this stretch he made his last attempted three against the Cavaliers, then had a 5-5 game and then 7-9 game against the Clippers where he got his first miss after thirteen straight. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2878708-76ers-shake-milton-sets-nba-record-for-mos t-consecutive-made-3-pointers

  1. Scott Skiles (c)

On December 30th in 1990, a late Christmas miracle was given to the Magic’s point guard Scott Skiles. He had 22 points and 30 assists in a 155-116 win over the Denver Nuggets. However this win made the Magic 7-23 and the loss made the Nuggets 6-23. May be the worst game to ever hold an NBA record in it. Before social media was a thing, I bet people did a double take when they saw that headline in the paper the next day. https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/ORL/all_star.html

  1. Nikola Vučević (b)

Nikola Vučević got both of his two All-Star appearances on The Magic and has been the only Magic All-Star since Dwight Howard. Sounds surprising but when you think about it not too many contenders you can come up with.

  1. Walter Davis (b)

Yes, I already know what most of you are thinking. Who the  is Walter Davis and there is no way he scored more points then all those other options. Well unfortunately (I’m not sure why it’s unfortunate, good for that guy) he DID. His 15,666 points is the most in Suns franchise history. If it makes you feel any better second place was Alvan Adams with 13,910, so you probably were not going to get it anyway. For those who got this one I tip my hooves to you.  https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/most-points-by-a-sun-in-nba-history

  1. Jayson Tatum (d)

Jayson Tatum has been a more than impressive scorer so far in his young career. At just 19 years old (is that joke over done?) Tatum has had five 50 point games, Larry Bird and Tracey McGrady have 4, and David Robinson has 3. Tatum has 22 games of 40 plus and 110 with 30 plus. He will definitely go down as one of the games best and most fluid scores. His 3 level scoring ability has improved every year and he can do it all from side step three to dunking on your favorite player https://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/50-point-game-most-times.html

  1. 56 (a)

For those who are saying “Why would you give us Trae Young’s career high, who the hell knows that, that’s totally an unfair question!” You make some valid points. Trae Young had an impressive 56 points and 14 assists on 17-26 shooting and 7-12 three point shooting on January 3rd, 2022 in a loss to the Trailblazers. https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/what-is-trae-young-career-high-points

  1. (c)

Sydney Moncrief, Dennis Rodman, Hakeem Olajuwon, Dikembe Mutombo, Alonzo Mourning, Ben Wallace(twice), Dwight Howard, Kawhi Leonard, and Rudy Gobert make up the list of elite defenders to do this. Dwight Howard won three in a row and Ben Wallace won back to back twice. He is tied with Mutombo for the most Defensive Player of the Year awards of all time. https://www.espn.com/nba/history/awards/_/id/39

  1. Don Nelson (a)

Don Nelson won 1,335 games as a coach for the Bucks, Knicks, and Warriors. He was named Coach of the Year 3 times, and lead the 1994 Olympic team to a gold medal. He is one of two coaches to have 250 plus wins with 3 teams. He will forever be one of the greatest to ever do it.
